LOCATION.--Lat 42°45'50.0", long 73°20'13.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Rensselaer County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02020003, on left bank 100 ft downstream from bridge on Lewis Hollow Road, 1.0 mi downstream from Petersburg, and 4.9 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--56.1 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Continuous record--1951-96, annual maximum only--1997 to current year.
GAGE.--Crest-stage partial-record station. Datum of gage is 587.40 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 586.92 ft above NAVD of 1988.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 5,700 ft³/s, Aug. 28, 2011, gage height, 9.07 ft.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Flood of Dec. 31, 1948, reached a stage of 9.4 ft, from floodmarks, discharge, 7,470 ft³/s, from contracted-opening measurement of peak flow.
