> Site Information
LOCATION.--Lat 42°06'52.3", long 78°48'12.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Cattaraugus County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 05010001, on left bank, 0.12 mi upstream from Red House Bridge and 6.3 mi downstream of Little Valley Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA.--1,690 mi².  
PERIOD OF RECORD.--September 1903 to September 1964. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1305. July 2023 to current year (gage heights only).
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1,322.75 ft above NAVD of 1988. From September 1903 to September 1964, datum of gage was 1,327.68 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to Sept. 3, 1917, chain gage.
REMARKS.--Flood flows partly regulated since March 1942 by Whitney Point Reservoir (station 01511000).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--

1903-64: Maximum discharge, 49,100 ft³/s, Mar. 8, 1956, gage height, 15.11 ft, datum then in use; minimum daily discharge, 80 ft³/s, Dec. 15-17, 1908.

2023 to current year: Maximum gage height, 10.49 ft, Dec. 4, 2023; minimum gage height, 7.25 ft, Oct. 7, 2023.
