USGS 13194500 BOISE RIVER AT DOWLING RANCH NR ARROWROCK ID

LOCATION.--Lat 43° 35'30", long 115° 58'31"(Rev.)(NAD83), in SW1/4 SW1/4 sec.15, T.3 N., R.4 E., Boise County near Ada/Elmore County line, Arrowrock Dam quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050112, at Dowling ranch, about 0.75 mi upstream from Mores (formerly Moore) Creek, and 4 mi downstream from Arrowrock Dam. (Prior to Lucky Peak Dam.)

DRAINAGE AREA.--2,231 mi2, revised.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--March 1911 to April 1955 (discontinued).

REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 883: Drainage area.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 2,890 ft (from Corps of Engineers topography of Lucky Peak Reservoir). Prior to Mar. 18, 1915, staff gages at same site and datum.

REMARKS.--Flow regulated by Arrowrock Reservoir (sta 13194000) and Anderson Ranch Reservoir (sta 13190000). Small diversions from tributaries above station for irrigation. Site inundated by backwater from Lucky Peak Dam after April 1955.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 18,800 ft3/s Apr. 20, 1943, gage height, 9.93 ft; minimum, 1.0 ft3/s Jan. 3, 1945, Jan. 13, 1948, Dec. 17, 18, 1954; minimum gage height, 0.62 ft, Nov. 21, 22, 1935; minimum daily discharge, 2.0 ft3/s for many days in 1935-36, 1942, 1954.
