> Site Information
LOCATION.--Lat 42°25'44", long 74°28'23" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Schoharie County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02020005, on left bank 200 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 30, 0.6 mi upstream from mouth, and 3.0 mi southwest of North Blenheim.
DRAINAGE AREA.--16.2 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Occasional discharge measurements, water years 1969-74. December 1974 to current year.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WDR NY-90-1: Drainage area. WDR NY-04-1: 1999-2003. WDR-US-2011: 2008, 2010.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Concrete control since Sept. 23, 1975, reconstructed November 1998. Datum of gage is 1,060.13 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS.--Water Years 2014-22: Records fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 2,550 ft³/s, Jan. 19, 1996, gage height, 5.20 ft, from floodmarks, from rating curve extended above 560 ft³/s on basis of step-backwater analysis of peak flow; maximum discharge since control reconstruction, 2,450 ft³/s, Sept. 18, 2004, gage height, 5.71 ft, from rating curve extended above 1,100 ft³/s; maximum gage height, 6.79 ft, July 11, 2021, from floodmark; minimum discharge, 0.10 ft³/s, Aug. 27, 28, 29, 30, 1980; minimum gage height, 0.46 ft, Aug. 11, 12, 13, 1997; minimum gage height since control reconstruction, 1.21 ft, Aug. 28, Sept. 8, 9, 10, 2001.
