LOCATION.--Lat 41°02'23", long 74°30'06" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Jefferson Township, Morris County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030103, on right bank, 300 ft upstream from bridge on Oak Ridge Road (Berkshire Valley Road), 400 ft downstream from Oak Ridge Reservoir Dam, and 0.9 mi southwest of Oak Ridge.
DRAINAGE AREA.--27.4 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Continuous-record gaging station, April 2010 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 800 ft NGVD 1929 (from topographic map).
REMARKS.--Records fair, except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Flow regulated by Canistear Reservoir, Oak Ridge Reservoir, and other small upstream lakes and ponds.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 2,980 ft3/s, Aug 28, 2011, gage height, 9.21 ft; minimum discharge, 0.50 ft3/s, Dec 7-8, 2014.
