Click for larger image LOCATION.--Lat 39°20'28.5", long 77°38'02.7", Frederick County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070008, on left bank, at downstream side of highway bridge on
Jefferson Pike and 0.9 mi northwest of Rosemont.
DRAINAGE AREA.--4.16 mi2, from automated delineation using 30-meter National Elevation Dataset, digital elevation model data, dated December 2011.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 2016 to July 2020.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv/?site_no=01636845: 2020.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, precipitation gage, water quality monitor, crest-stage gage, and velocity meter. Datum of gage is 413.26 ft above North
American Vertical Datum of 1988. October 1, 2016 to January 18, 2019, at site 80 ft downstream on right bank at gage datum 2.0 ft higher.
May 23, 2019 to July 6, 2020, at current location and gage datum.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey water-data telemeter at station.
EXREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 9,050 ft3/s, May 15, 2018, gage height, 9.00 ft (estimated); Minimum discharge, 0.32 ft3/s, Oct. 5, 2019.
Maximum daily precipitation, 4.46 in, July 21, 2018.

Notice:
August 28 - December 17, 2018: The on-site velocity meter was raised to avoid the migrating channel bed. During this period, the sensor only reported
water velocity when the gage height was greater than 2.1 feet.
