LOCATION.--Lat 43° 34'34", long 111° 54'37" (NAD27), on line between north and south quarters in E1/2 of sec.19, T.3 N., R.39 E., Bonneville County, Ucon quad., Hydrologic Unit 17040201, at concrete bridge 3 mi northeast of Iona, and 9 mi on main road northeast from Idaho Falls. Boomer Canal crosses in a flume 600 ft above station (1925).
PERIOD OF RECORD.--December 22, 1916 to August 1, 1925 (discontinued).
GAGE.--Vertical staff attached to downstream face of right abutment of concrete arch bridge, read daily.
REMARKS.--Sand Creek and several irrigation canals divert water above station. Flow regulated by irrigation headgates upstream. Several irrigation canals return waste water into creek.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 603 ft3/s May 16, 17, 1917,
gage height, 7.75 ft; minimum, about 1 ft3/s several times in December and
January 1918, 1919, 1920, 1923; no winter records most years.
