STATION.--01429400 GENERAL EDGAR JADWIN RESERVOIR
LOCATION.--Lat 41`36'44", long 75`15'55", Wayne County, Hydrologic Unit 02040103, at dam on Dyberry Creek, 0.4 upstream from unnamed tributary, 2.4 mi north of Honesdale, and 2.9 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--64.5 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1959 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is U.S. Army Corps of Engineers local project datum. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS.--Reservoir is formed by earth and rockfill dam with ungated concrete spillway at elevation 1,053.00 ft. Storage began October 1959. Capacity at elevation 1,053.00 ft is 24,500 acre-ft. Reservoir is used for flood control. Regulation is accomplished by discharge through an ungated tunnel.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District.
NOTE: Reservoir is normally dry, used for flood control purposes only. Pool elevation readings below 990.00 ft (NGVD) do not represent storage in the reservoir and indicate water levels in the stilling well only. Pool elevations below 990.00 ft (NGVD) indicate that the reservoir is dry.
