LOCATION.--Lat 43° 19'24", long 111° 06'44" (NAD27), in NW1/4 sec.19, T.1 S., R.46 E., Bonneville County, Mount Baird (ID,WY) quad., Hydrologic Unit 17040104, at Big Elk Creek campground, 11 mi southeast of Irwin, and at mile 2.5. Previously published in error as at Lat 43° 10'25".

DRAINAGE AREA.--59.2 mi².

PERIOD OF RECORD.--July to September 1917, June to September 1918, April to July 1934, September 1953 to September 1961 (discontinued). Published as Big Elk Creek near Blowout, 1917-18 and as Elk Creek near Irwin, 1934.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,640 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. July 1917 to September 1918, April to July 1934, staff gage at site 2.25 mi downstream at different datum. September 1953 to August 1957, water-stage recorder at datum 0.41 ft higher.

REMARKS.--Small diversions above station for irrigation. No regulation.
