Click to hidestation-specific text

LOCATION.--Headgates of canal, Lat 42° 31'39", long 114° 00'36"(Rev.)(NAD83), in SW1/4 NW1/4 sec.28, T.10 S., R.21 E., Jerome County, Milner quad., Hydrologic Unit 17040209, at Milner Dam.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1929 to September 1978 (discontinued). Monthly discharge only for some periods published in WSP 1317.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder on Milner-Gooding Canal at site 3.4 mi downstream, and differential recorder on control gates of North Side diversion, 3.4 mi downstream, all referred to Milner Lake.

REMARKS.--Gooding Canal divides into the 3 canals described in GAGE paragraph. Milner-Gooding Canal delivers water to the Milner-Gooding project of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The North Side diversion and A lateral carry water to part of the North Side Canal Co. project, which also receives water through North Side Twin Falls Canal and P.A. Lateral (sta# 13087000 and 13085800). Discharge is computed by combining the discharge at the 3 measuring sites and adding 35 ft3/s for losses between Milner Lake and division points. Discharge after July 1, 1978, furnished by Water District 01.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum daily discharge, 2,770 ft3/s July 22, 1964, July 18, 1967; no flow for many days each year.
