LOCATION.--Lat 43° 56', long 113° 38' (NAD27), in sec.17, T.7 N., R.24 E., Custer County, Hydrologic Unit 17040218, Mackay Reservoir quad., at A.D. Streeter ranch, 0.75 mi downstream from heading of canal, and 2 mi northwest of Mackay.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1913 to November 1914 (discontinued)(no winter records).
GAGE.--Staff gage. Elevation of gage is 5,950 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS.--Streeter ditch diverts water from the east side of Big Lost River in sec.18, T.7 N., R.24 E., about 3 mi above Mackay. The water is used for irrigation by several ranches northwest of Mackay. Headgates are closed during winter, but there is a small amount of leakage and the ditch also receives water from a small spring.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge observed, 42 ft3/s June 11, 1913,
gage height, 2.8 ft; practically no flow during most of winter.
