USGS 13189500 LITTLE CAMAS CANAL BL TUNNEL NO.9 NR BENNETT ID

LOCATION.--Lat 43° 18'58", long 115° 29'49"(Rev.)(NAD83), in SW1/4 sec.22, T.1 S., R.8 E., Elmore County, Hydrologic Unit 17050113, Anderson Ranch Dam quad., on left bank 300 ft downstream from outlet of Tunnel No.9, 3 mi west of Bennett, and 22 mi northeast of Mountain Home.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1924 to September 1926 (discontinued). From June 1 to November 29, 1917, records were obtained from station above Tunnel No.9, 0.5 mi above present gage.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 4,900 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. June 1 to November 29, 1917, water-stage recorder 0.5 mi upstream and above Tunnel No.9 at different datum.

REMARKS.--Flow regulated by Little Camas Reservoir 400 ft upstream (capacity, 22,300 acre-ft). No diversion above station. Canal is an interbasin diversion and diverts from Little Camas Reservoir (South Fork Boise River drainage) in sec.9, T.1 S., R.9 E., and discharges into Long Tom Creek basin, where water is stored in Long Tom Reservoir for irrigation of 5,000 acres of land near Mountain Home.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 66 ft3/s May 8-11, 13-14. 1924, gage height, 1.52 ft; no flow during nonirrigation season.
