STATION.--01543900 FIRST FORK SINNEMAHONING CREEK
RESERVOIR
LOCATION.--Lat 41`24'25", long
78`01'10", Cameron County, Hydrologic Unit 02050202, at
control tower of George B. Stevenson Dam on First Fork Sinnemahoning
Creek, 8.0 mi northeast of Sinnemahoning, and 8.0 mi upstream from
mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--243 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--January 1956 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and heated tipping bucket
precipitation gage. Datum of gage is U.S. Army Corps of Engineers local
project datum. Satellite and landline telemetry at gage.
REMARKS.--Reservoir formed by an earthfill dam.
Storage began Jan. 31, 1956. Capacity, 75,800 acre-ft between
elevations 890.00 ft (sill of outlet gates) and 1,026.00 ft (crest of
spillway). No dead storage. Ordinary minimum (conservation) pool
elevation is 920.00 ft, capacity, 2,000 acre-ft. Reservoir used for
flood control and recreation.
The 15-minute precipitation data for this station are
temporary and will only be displayed for 120 days. Time series
of 1-hour or cumulative daily values will NOT be available for
retrieval following the 120-day display period. Although the
instrumentation is calibrated at least once a year, the temporary
classification means that documented routine inspections and other
quality assurance measures are not performed that would make the
data acceptable for archival, retrieval, or future use in general
scientific or interpretive studies. |
