at Calvert Cliffs State Park.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 698 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 641 ft,
bottom of last opening 651 ft. Drilled, observation, artesian well.
GAGE.--Monthly measurements with electric tape by U.S. Geological Survey personnel. Equipped with
digital water-level recorder --30- minute recording interval, March 3, 2004 to current year.
U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at well.
DATUM.--Elevation of land surface is 129.4 ft above National Geodetic
Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of shelter platform, 3.10 ft above land surface.
REMARKS.--Maryland Groundwater-Level Network observation well. Water levels are affected
by local and regional groundwater withdrawal.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1978 to current year.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level measured, 21.26 ft below sea level, April 21, 1980;
lowest measured, 113.42 ft below sea level, October 6, 2007 (recorder).
