Water levels below land surface are accurate to 0.01 feet. Water levels above National American Vertical Datum of 1988 (sea level) are calculated by subtracting recorded water levels from the land surface elevation, which is accurate to ±1.6 feet based on a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data. Water-level differences are accurate to within 0.01 feet.
Water temperature is accurate to 0.1°C, and differences in temperature are accurate to 0.1°C.
Water temperatures were recorded at 18.1 feet below land surface during 11 Mar. 2020 to 15 Mar. 2020 at 13:45 CDT. Water temperatures were recorded at 37.5 feet below land surface during 15 Mar. 2020 at 14:00 CDT to 16 Apr. 2020 at 08:00 CDT. Beginning on 16 Apr. 2020 at 09:00 CDT, the transducer was replaced and repositioned in the well and began recording water temperature data at 66.8 feet below land surface. Transducer was repositioned deeper in the well to record deeper water level data (draw-down) and a larger range of water level fluctuations during active pumping periods.
Precipitation is accurate to 0.01 inches except during freezing periods (about Dec. through early Apr.). The rain gage is unheated and uncovered. The precipitation data during freezing periods result from melting of snow (accumulated in the rain gage) during warm periods and do NOT represent actual precipitation. Precipitation totals during freezing periods may underestimate actual totals because the rain gage funnel may be full of snow (preventing further accumulation) or because snow in the funnel may sublimate instead of melt.
