USGS 01172010 CONNECTICUT R AT I-391 BRIDGE AT HOLYOKE, MA

LOCATION

LOCATION--Lat 42o11'26", long 72o36'32", Hampden County, Hydrologic Unit 01080201, on right bank, 300 ft upstream from the Interstate 391 bridge behind the flood barrier near water access through wall at flood barrier mile 85.
DRAINAGE AREA--8,332 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--October 2002 to current year.
GAGE--Data Collection Platform with satellite and telephone telemeters at station.
REMARKS--Flow regulated by power plants, by First Connecticut and Second Connecticut Lakes, Lake Francis, Moore, and Comerford Reservoir, and other reservoirs, combined usable capacity, about 47 billion cubic feet.
COOPERATION--Holyoke Gas and Electric Co.
