LOCATION--Lat 42° 14'14", long 72° 53'46", Hampshire County, Hydrologic Unit 01080206, on left bank at Huntington, 0.4 mi downstream from Roaring Brook, and 1.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA--94.0 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD--Discharge: September 1935 to current year.
Water-quality records: Water years 1957, 1967–74.
REVISED RECORDS--WDR MA-RI-84-1: drainage area.
GAGE--Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 383.60 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Oct. 1, 1989, at datum 5.00 ft higher.
REMARKS--Prior to 1950, some diurnal fluctuation at low flow caused by small mill upstream.
COOPERATION BY--Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Water Resources.
