LOCATION - Lat 45°15'38", long 68°52'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Piscataquis County, ME, Hydrologic Unit 01020004, on left bank 2.0 mi southwest of Medford, and 3.3 mi downstream from Pleasant River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,162 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1231: 1936. WSP 1301: 1925-29(M). WDR ME-81-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DISCHARGE: June 1924 to September 1982, October 1989 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 248.68 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Aug. 14, 1929, nonrecording gage at site 1.8 mi downstream at different datum.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Sebec Lake, 15 mi upstream, and other small reservoirs and power plants above station.
