LOCATION - Lat 45°03'07", long 69°53'08" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Somerset County, ME, Hydrologic Unit 01030003, on right bank at Bingham, 50 ft downstream from State Route 16 highway bridge, 0.4 mi downstream from Austin Stream, and 1.6 mi downstream from Wyman Dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,715 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1271: 1951(M). WSP 1301: 1936(M). WDR 81-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DISCHARGE: June 1907 to June 1910, October 1930 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods prior to June 1910 published in WSP 1301.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 330.20 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. June 1907 to June 1910, nonrecording gage on highway bridge at different datum.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Moosehead Lake, Indian Pond, and Brassua, Flagstaff, and Wyman Lakes. Considerable diurnal fluctuation caused by power plant above station.
