LOCATION - Lat 44°19'07", long 69°46'18" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Kennebec County, ME, Hydrologic Unit 01030003, on left bank, 600 ft upstream from Calumet Bridge, and 600 ft downstream from Bond Brook.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,513 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - GAGE HEIGHT: June 1998 to current year. Prior to October 2008, published as "at Father Curran Bridge."
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1.30 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
REMARKS - Gage height affected by ocean tides. Flow regulated by Indian and Plymouth Ponds, and Moosehead, Brassua, Flagstaff, Wyman, Great Moose, and Sebasticook Lakes. Gaps in record indicate missing data.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of April 1987 reached a stage of 34.1 ft, from flood marker 200 ft downstream from gage. Flood of March 1936 reached a stage of 30.7 ft from flood marks 0.3 mi upstream.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 19.58 ft, Jan. 13-14, 2018; minimum gage height, -2.94 ft, Oct. 20, 2016.
