LOCATION - Lat 43°02'09", long 70°50'51" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Rockingham County, NH, Hydrologic Unit 01060003, on right bank, 75 ft upstream of State Fish and Game Department fish weir, 10 ft back from guard rail on Portsmouth Avenue (NH 33) 50 ft east of bridge overpass of fish ladder, 0.8 mi west of Portsmouth Ave and Post Road (NH 151) intersection in Greenland, and 5.1 mi southwest of State Street and Middle Street (US 1) intersection in Portsmouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 14.1 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge records: July 2002 to current year. Miscellaneous discharge measurements: Water years 1999-2000.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and concrete control. Datum of gage is 5.28 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. From August 25, 2009 to Apr. 1, 2012, supplementary water-stage recorder on right bank 400 ft downstream at datum of -1.95 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Aug. 25, 2009, water-stage recorder on left bank at dam 300 ft downstream at datum of 7.51 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.

REMARKS - WATER YEARS 2014-17: Records fair except those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
