LOCATION - Lat 41°53'59", long 71°05'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Bristol County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01090004, on left bank, 20 ft upstream from Spring Street bridge in Taunton, and about 0.8 mi upstream from mouth at Taunton River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 43.5 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - 2006-2009 water years; annual peak discharge.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 14.19 ft above NAVD 1988, estimated from topographic map. Datum previously reported as 15 ft above NGVD 1929, estimated from topographic map.
COOPERATION - City of Taunton.
REMARKS - Records fair except those for estimated discharges, which are poor. Records are affected by tidal backwater on many days during the year. Flow may be affected at times from Ward Pond, Winnecunnet Pond, Watson Pond, Lake Sabbatia, Reed and Barton Mill, and other upstream dams.
