01170930 MILL RIVER AT CHRISTIAN LANE AT WHATELY, MA
LOCATION - Lat 42°26'40", long 72°37'49" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Franklin County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01080201, on left bank, at upstream side of Christian Lane bridge, 0.4 mi northeast of Whately.
DRAINAGE AREA - 20.7 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2006 to October 2009 (Discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemeter. Elevation of gage is 270 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Water Resources Commission; Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Watershed Management; and Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
REMARKS - Records fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Occassional variable backwater from beaver dams.
