01192500 HOCKANUM RIVER NEAR EAST HARTFORD, CT
LOCATION - Lat 41°46'59", long 72°35'16" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Hartford County, CT, Hydrologic Unit 01080205, on left bank at end of Preston St., 0.2 mi upstream from bridge on Walnut St., 1.5 mi downstream from Hop Brook, and 2.8 mi east of East Hartford.
DRAINAGE AREA - 73.4 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge: September 1919 to September 1921, July 1928 to September 1971, and Oct. 1976 to current year. Annual maximum: water years 1972-76.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 53.60 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (revised). Prior to October 1, 1981, datum in error by +0.90 ft, original levels by Department of Engineering, City of Hartford. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS -

Water Years 2021-22: Records fair except for periods of estimated discharges with are considered poor. 
Water Year 2020: Records fair.
Water Year 2017-19: Records good except for periods of estimated discharges, which are fair.
Water Year 2016: Records good including period of estimated discharge.
Water Years 2014- 2015: Records good except for periods of estimated discharges, which are fair.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak discharge, 5,160 ft³/s, Sep. 21, 1938, from computation of flow over dam just above gage, gage height, 13.78 ft, from flood marks. Minimum discharge, practically no flow at times caused by regulation, many days.
