LOCATION - Lat 41°03'58.00", long 73°32'57.38" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fairfield County, CT, Hydrologic Unit 01100006, on left bank 100 ft upstream from bridge on Bridge St., 2.7 mi downstream from Holts Ice Pond Brook, and 1.7 mi upstream from mouth.
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge: September 1977 to 1982 and October 2001 to current year. June 1964 to March 1966, occasional low-flow measurements.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 18.29 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to 1982, water-stage recorder at same site at datum 0.56 ft. lower. November 1975 to September 1976, at site 0.6 mi upstream. Satellite telemetry at station.

The natural flow is altered by Mallard Lake, Trinity Lake Reservoir, Laurel Reservoir, Suscowit Reservoir, and by storage and diversion at North Stamford Reservoir.

Water Year 2014: Records good except for periods of estimated daily discharges, which are fair, and for the period Oct. 1, 2013 to Mar. 18, 2014, which are poor.
