01212500 BYRAM RIVER AT PEMBERWICK
LOCATION - Lat 41°01'38.27", long 73°39'42.30" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fairfield County, CT, Hydrologic Unit 01100006, on the right, downstream corner of the Comly Avenue bridge over the Byram River, near the intersection of Pemberwick Road, in Pemberwick.
DRAINAGE AREA - 25.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct. 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 24.6 ft. above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (revised, levels by private engineering consultant). Prior to Oct. 2012, gage datum was incorrectly reported as 45 ft. above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS -

Water year 2015-20: Records good except for periods of estimated daily discharges, which are fair.

Water 2020-23: Records can be considered as good, except for discharge over 200 cfs and estimated periods which are fair, and discharge over 500 cfs which are poor.

CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Precipitation: Oct. 2011 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Unshielded, unheated, standard 8-in. diameter, tipping bucket precipitation gage with 0.01 in. tip increment, mounted on an aluminum base plate which is secured to a 2-in. pipe with the top of the collector approx. 12 ft. above the ground. Elevation of gage is 34.6 ft. above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Precipitation recorder with satellite telemetry.
REMARKS - Gage is operated in conjunction with a co-located streamflow gage (01212500).
