01367800 PAPAKATING CREEK AT PELLETTOWN, NJ
LOCATION - Lat 41°09'46", long 74°40'31" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Frankford Township, Sussex County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02020007, on upstream left wingwall of bridge on County Route 565 (Pellettown Road) in Pellettown, 1.5 mi southeast of Wykertown, 3.9 mi northeast of Branchville, and 4.5 mi upstream of West Branch Papakating Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 15.8 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record gaging station, 2004-2014, Occasional low-flow measurements, water years 1959-64, 1999-2003.
GAGE - Water-stage and precipitation recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 414 ft above NAVD of 1988 (levels from New Jersey Geological Survey benchmark).
REMARKS - Records fair, except for estimated discharges, which are poor. This gage was discontinued due to persistent beaver activity. Gaging station 01367805 Papakating Creek at Roys, NJ was installed 1.7 miles downstream as a replacement.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,750 ft³/s, Aug 28, 2011, gage height, 10.00 ft; minimum discharge, 0.68 ft³/s, Sep 1, 2010.

PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 1959-63, 1999 to current year.
