LOCATION - Lat 41°25'55.9", long 73°39'06.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Putnam County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030101, on right bank 0.2 mi downstream from Fair Street bridge, 1.5 mi east of Carmel, and 1.8 mi downstream from dam on Lake Carmel.
DRAINAGE AREA - 13.7 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1995 to March 2013 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 478.89 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - Records good except those below 10 ft³/s and those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Flow regulated by Lake Carmel. Satellite gage-height telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 756 ft³/s, Sept. 17, 1999, gage height, 5.97 ft; minimum discharge, 0.07 ft³/s, Sept. 11, 20, 21, 22, 2010; minimum gage height, 1.19 ft, Aug. 6, 7, 2010, July 14, 15, 2012.

PERIOD OF RECORD - PESTICIDE DATA : 2000 (a), 2001 (c), 2006-07 (a).
REMARKS - For many of the samples collected, analysis was performed using two analytical methods. A sampling method code of 15 indicates an equal-width increment, non-isokinetic sample.
