LOCATION - Lat 40°59'52", long 74°06'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Hohokus Borough, Bergen County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030103, on left bank 500 ft upstream from bridge on Maple Avenue in Ho-Ho-Kus, and 3.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 16.4 mi².

PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record discharge station, water years 1954-73, 1977-96, and 2006 to current year. Annual maximum gage, water years 1997 to 2005.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 120.09 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - Records fair, except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Some regulation and diurnal fluctuation at low and medium flows caused by unknown sources, possibly sewage treatment plant upstream of gage. Discharges above 1500 ft³/s from rating curve extension on basis of flow-over-dam computation of peak flow.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 4,670 ft³/s, Sep 16, 1999, gage height, 7.32 ft, from rating extended above 1,500 ft³/s on basis of flow-over-dam computation; minimum discharge 1.9 ft³/s, Aug 2, 1966.
