LOCATION - Lat 39°35'41", long 74°51'06" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Folsom Borough, Atlantic County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040302, on left bank 25 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 54, 1.0 mi south of Folsom, and 2.0 mi upstream from Pennypot Stream.
DRAINAGE AREA - 57.1 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1432: 1928(M), 1933. WDR NJ-83-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record discharge station, September 1925 to current year. Prior to October 1947, published as "Great Egg River at Folsom".
GAGE - Water-stage and precipitation recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Concrete control since Nov 26, 1934. Datum of gage is 52.06 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Mar 6, 1941, water-stage recorder at site 100 ft downstream at same datum. Mar 6 to Oct 5, 1941, non-recording gage at site 145 ft downstream at datum 0.25 ft higher.
REMARKS - Records good, except for estimated discharges, which are fair.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,440 ft³/s, Sep 3, 1940, gage height, 9.09 ft; minimum discharge, 12 ft³/s, Aug 22, 2002.
