LOCATION - Lat 39°28'21", long 75°15'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Stow Creek Township, Cumberland County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040206, on right bank just downstream from bridge on Silver Lake Road (County Route 704), 0.6 mi south of Seeley, 2.6 mi east of Shiloh, 4.1 mi north of Bridgeton, and 22.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 28 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR US-2011: 1983(M), 1994(M), 2004(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record discharge station, October 1977 to September 1988, August 2003 to current year. Operated as an annual maximum gage, water years 1989-95.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 26.9 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - Records fair, except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Occasional regulation from lake gate operations, irrigation, or other activities upstream. Discharges above 1,200 ft³/s from rating curve extension based upon step-backwater analysis.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 10,000 ft³/s, from rating curve extended above 1,200 ft³/s on basis of step-backwater analysis, Aug 14, 2011, gage height, 10.61 ft, partially the result of dam break at Seeley Lake, 3.1 mi upstream; minimum discharge, 4.7 ft³/s, Jul 9, 1988.
