01429400 GENERAL EDGAR JADWIN RESERVOIR NEAR HONESDALE, PA
LOCATION - Lat 41°36'44", long 75°15'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Wayne County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040103, at dam on Dyberry Creek, 0.4 mi upstream from unnamed tributary, 2.4 mi north of Honesdale, and 2.9 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 64.5 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Reservoir elevation for the period Aug 13, 2019, to Oct 16, 2019, was revised on Jan 27, 2020, based on an error to corrected data.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1959 to September 2013 (elevation and contents), October 2013 to current year (elevation).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is U.S. Army Corps of Engineers local project datum. Cellular telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District. Prior to 2013, storage tables provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
REMARKS - Reservoir formed by an earth and rockfill dam with ungated concrete spillway at elevation 1,053.00 ft. Storage began October 1959. Capacity at elevation of 1,053.00 ft is 24,500 acre-ft. Reservoir is used for flood control. Figures given herein represent total contents. Regulation is accomplished by discharge through an ungated tunnel.  Pool elevations below 990 ft NGVD indicate no storage in the reservoir.  Oct 1, 1996 through Sept. 2016, values below 990 ft were not recorded.

Maximum contents prior to Sept 30, 2013: 17,190 acre-ft, Jun 28, 2006, elevation, 1,040.83 ft.

Minimum contents: no storage under normal conditions.
