LOCATION - Lat 40°31'17.8", long 75°30'30.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lehigh County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040106,
Lehigh County, Emmaus Borough, upstream right bank at bridge on Shimerville Road, 1.5 miles upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3.98 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - Prior to October 31, 2022, the datum of gage was reported as 395.94 ft above NAVD of 1988, and also 403 ft above NAVD 1988.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2020 to April 17. 2024.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage and water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 395.8 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to October 31, 2022, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 395.94 ft. above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 in the site manuscript and 403 ft. above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 in the site file documentation. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey -- Next Generation Water Observing System (NGWOS).
REMARKS - Records for water years 2020-2021 are fair except those for estimated discharge, which is poor.

INSTRUMENTATION - In-Situ Aqua Troll 500 water quality probe collecting Specific Conductance and Water Temperature Water data at 15-minute interval. 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 1,920 microsiemens/cm, Dec 15, 2022 (snowmelt); minimum, 56 microsiemens/cm, Dec 6, 2022. Minimum may have been lower; sensor was damaged during flood. WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 26.1 °C, Aug 9, 2022; minimum, -0.2 °C, Jan 16, 2022
