01465798 POQUESSING CREEK AT GRANT AVENUE, PHILADELPHIA, PA
LOCATION - Lat 40°03'25", long 74°59'08" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Philadelphia County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040202, on right bank 600 ft upstream from Interstate Highway 95, 3,000 ft upstream from mouth, in Northeast Philadelphia.
DRAINAGE AREA - 21.4 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

WDR PA-86-1: 1985. 

Revisions: Gage height and discharge for period May 20, 2019 to February 4, 2020, were revised on April 19, 2021 based on changes to the gage datum correction and stage-discharge rating.

Revisions: The datum of gage was erroneously reported as 2.68 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 prior to April 2, 2024

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1965 to current year. Records for 1971-74 published in WDR PA-81-1.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, water quality monitor, and concrete low-water control. Datum of gage is 1.9 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (GNSS survey).  Prior to April 2, 2024, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 2.68 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the City of Philadelphia, Water Department and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS -

Flow occasionally affected by tide. Gage height is qualified to reflect periods of backwater.  During periods of backwater, discharge is deleted for periods 240 minutes and less, estimated for gaps larger than 240 minutes. 

Records for water year 2014 are fair, except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water year 2015 are fair, except those for daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water year 2016 are fair. Records for water years 2017-2018, 2020-2022 are fair, except those for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Records for water year 2019 are poor.
