01465850 SOUTH BRANCH RANCOCAS CREEK AT VINCENTOWN, NJ
LOCATION - Lat 39°56'24", long 74°45'47" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Southampton Township, Burlington County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040202, on left bank 20 ft upstream from highway bridge on Lumberton-Vincentown Road (Landing Street, County Route 641), 0.8 mi west of Vincentown, 2.9 mi southwest of Lumberton, and 3.1 mi upstream from Southwest Branch Rancocas Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 64.5 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record discharge station, July 1961 to October 1975, October 1999 to June 2002, and July 2003 to current year. Annual maximum gage, water years 1976-95 and July 2002 to June 2003.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 11.75 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to November 1961, gage was at downstream side of bridge at same datum. Between November 1961 to October 1975 and October 1999 and June 2002, gage was located 150 ft downstream of bridge on left bank, at same datum.
REMARKS - Records fair, except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Occasional regulation by lakes and ponds above station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 4,160 ft³/s, Jul 13, 2004, gage height, 12.34 ft; minimum discharge, 0.10 ft³/s, Oct 6, 2005, due to regulation.
