01470779 TULPEHOCKEN CREEK NEAR BERNVILLE, PA
LOCATION - Lat 40°24'48", long 76°10'19" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Berks County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040203, on left bank 30 ft downstream from Kricks Mill Road bridge, 0.4 mi upstream from Mill Creek, and 3.5 mi west of Bernville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 70.4 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR PA-96-1: 1975-83(P), 1988(P), 1990(P), 1993-94(P).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1974 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 310.5 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (from GNSS survey). Prior to February 19, 2025, the datum of gage was reported as 311.26 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Affects from local pumping can be seen during summer low-flow. Records for water years 2014-2016 are fair except estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water years 2017-2018 are fair except estimated discharges which is poor. Records for water year 2019 are fair. Records for water year 2020 are good except for period Oct 1 - July 9, which are rated fair. Records for water year 2021 are good except for estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water year 2022 are good except for period Aug 18-Sept 30 and those greater than 500 cfs, which are fair and for estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water year 2023 are fair. Records for water year 2024 are fair except estimated discharge, which is poor.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of June 1972 reached a stage of about 9.5 ft, from information by local resident, discharge about 6,000 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum Peak Flow and Stage: 7,800 cfs at a GH of 11.51 ft, occurring on September 8, 2011. 
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Water years 1978 to 2004, 2018 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Temperature probe interfaced with a data collection platform since 1986 water year.
REMARKS - Water temperature records rated good. Beginning in water year 2019, water quality records are not rated as "excellent", "good", "fair", or "poor".
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum 28.5o C, July 6, 1999; minimum. -0.2o C, many days during winters.
