LOCATION - Lat 40°01'38", long 75°50'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Chester County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040205, on right bank 15 ft upstream from SR 4005, 0.2 mi upstream of mouth, 0.6 mi downstream from Chambers Lake, and 1.1 mi northwest of Wagontown.
DRAINAGE AREA - 4.55 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR PA-99-1: 1996-98 (M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1995 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and concrete control. Elevation of gage is 505.81 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Chester County Water Resources Authority.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Chambers Lake (station 01480399) 0.6 mi upstream. Records for water year 2014 are fair. Records for water year 2015 are fair except those for estimated daily streamflow which are poor. Records for water year 2016 are good. Records for water year 2017 are good except those for estimated discharges, which are poor. Records for water year 2018 are good. No estimated discharges. Records for water year 2019 are good, except for discharges from Aug22-Oct1 which are rated poor. No estimated discharges. Records for water years 2020-2021 are fair. Records for water year 2022 are good, except for discharges greater than 40 cfs, which are fair.

REMARKS -

Historically water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius were not reported. Water temperature sensors now have the ability to accurately read water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.

Water temperature records for water year 2014 are rated good. Water temperature records for water year 2015 are rated good with the exception of Aug 4-10 which is rated poor. Water temperature records for water year 2016 are rated good, except for Apr4-Jun7, which is rated poor. Water temperature records for water year 2017 are rated good. Water temperature records for water year 2018 are rated good. Beginning in water year 2019, water quality records are not rated as "excellent", "good", "fair", or "poor".
