LOCATION - Lat 38°40'48.2", long 75°35'40.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Sussex County, DE, Hydrologic Unit 02080109, located at northeast shore, near spillway and upstream of Bridgeville Highway, 1.8 mi northeast of Seaford.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2015 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
REMARKS -
  • Water Years 2018-2022: Records good.
  • Water Years 2016-2017: Records good, missing data due to equipment malfunction, or for periods when the orifice was out of the water  due to dam construction.
  • Water Year 2015: Records good, missing data due to equipment malfunction.

    EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 27.72 ft, September 30, 2016; minimum elevation, 21.80 ft, April 16, 2017, may have been lower during period of construction of new dam.
