LOCATION - Lat 41°59'15", long 77°18'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Tioga County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050104, at single-span steel-truss bridge on State Highway 49 at Elkland.
DRAINAGE AREA - 235 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - 1980 to Sep 2018 operated as a Continuous Record, Annual Peak site (Annual maximum only). Oct 2018 to present, continuous discharge site.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and weighing bucket precipitation gage. Datum of gage is 1099.52 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (from benchmark). Prior to March 13, 2024, the datum of gage was reported as 1100.00 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
REMARKS - Daily discharge not available prior to Oct 2018.  Records are good except those for estimated discharge, which are poor.
