01541303 WEST BRANCH SUSQUEHANNA RIVER AT HYDE, PA
LOCATION - Lat 41°00'16", long 78°27'25" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Clearfield County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050201, on right bank 60 ft downstream from bridge at intersection of SR 1001 and State Highway 879 at Hyde.
DRAINAGE AREA - 474 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1978 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1093.35 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to September 1, 2023, the datum of gage was reported as 1093.90 ft above North American Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
REMARKS - Flow regulated since November 1965 by Curwensville Dam (station 01541180) about 5 mi upstream. Records for water years 2014-2016 are good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water years 2017-2018 are good except estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water year 2019 are good except those from July 22 through Sept 30, which are fair and estimated discharges, which are poor. Records for water years 2020-2021 are fair except estimated discharge, which is poor.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Mar 10, 1964, reached a stage of 18.1 ft, from floodmarks, discharge, about 19,400 ft³/s.
