LOCATION - Lat 41°02'53", long 77°36'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Centre County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050204, at Foster Joseph Sayers Dam on Bald Eagle Creek, 1.0 mi upstream from Marsh Creek, and 1.2 mi south of Blanchard.
DRAINAGE AREA - 339 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1971 to September 2016 (elevation and contents), October 2016 to current year (elevation).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is U.S. Army Corps of Engineers local project datum. Prior to water year 2007, the datum was incorrectly reported as NGVD 1929. Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Content tables provided by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District.
REMARKS - Reservoir formed by an earthfill dam with ungaged concrete ogee weir at elevation 657.00 ft with abutting concrete gravity walls and partially paved exit channel. Regulation is accomplished by two gates. Storage began in March 1971. Capacity at elevation 657.00 ft is 100,500 acre-ft. Dead storage is 25 acre-ft. Ordinary minimum (conservation) pool elevation is 610.0 ft, capacity, 6,250 acre-ft. Reservoir used for flood control and recreation. Figures given herein represent total contents.
