01559790 RAYSTOWN BRANCH JUNIATA RIVER AT WOLFSBURG, PA
LOCATION - Lat 40°02'45", long 78°31'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Bedford County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050303, 150 ft upstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 30 at Wolfsburg, and 4.7 mi upstream from Dunning Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 132 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 1989-90, 1996 to 2018, continuous-record annual-peak. October 2018 to current year, stage-only.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1072.37 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (from benchmark). Prior to September 24, 2024, the datum of gage was reported as 1072.89 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - Peak stage and discharge can be obtained by accessing Surface-water: Peak streamflow from the SUMMARY OF ALL AVAILABLE DATA. Bedford County Pumping Station withdraws water at the pool where the intakes are located; 3-4 cfs change in discharge has been recorded.  Recorded peak discharge for water year 2014 is rated good. Recorded peak discharge for water year 2015 is rated good. Recorded peak discharge for water year 2016 is rated good. Recorded peak discharge for water year 2017 is rated good.
