LOCATION - Lat 40°22'15", long 77°24'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Perry County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050305, on right bank 400 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 850 at Bixler, 2.3 mi upstream from mouth, and 3.6 mi west of Loysville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 15 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR PA-90-2: 1989 (M). WDR PA-01-2: 1957, 1972, 1977-79, 1981, 1984, 1989, 1991, 1994, 1995 (P).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1954 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 601.22 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to May 14, 1954, non-recording gage and crest-stage gage 400 ft downstream at same datum. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Records for water year 2014 are good except those for discharges less than 5 ft³/s and discharges greater than 48 ft³/s, which are fair, and those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water year 2015 are good except those for discharges less than 5 ft³/s and discharges greater than 84 ft³/s, which are fair, and those for period Sept 3 - 30 and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water year 2016 are good except for periods Oct 1 to Nov 17 and Jun 27 to Sep 30, which are fair and estimated days, which are poor. Records for water years 2017-2018 are fair except for estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water year 2019 are fair except for periods Feb 25, 27-28, Mar 1-6, 22, 23, and Mar 28 to Apr 1, and for estimated discharge, which are poor. Records for water years 2020-2022 are fair except for estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water year 2023 are good except for Oct 1 - Mar 4, which is fair.
