WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - TURBIDITY: November 2004 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor acquiring readings at a 15-minute interval and interfaced with the data collection platform since November 2004.
REMARKS - Record is affected by excessive suspended algae in the water, which at times does not reflect the true turbidity. The reporting precision of the turbidity probe in low turbidity water is +/-0.3 FNU. The lowest reportable value, 0 FNU, is subject to this error and does not necessarily indicate a condition of zero turbidity. Turbidity values greater than 1000 FNU are beyond the specification of the sensor and are considered unreliable. Interruptions in the record were due to malfunctions of the equipment. Turbidity record for water years 2014-2015 is rated poor. Turbidity record for water years 2016-2017 is rated fair. Turbidity record for water year 2018 is rated poor. Beginning in water year 2019, water quality records are not rated as "excellent", "good", "fair", or "poor".
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - TURBIDITY: Maximum, >1320 FNU, Jun 8, 2015; minimum, -0.3 FNU, on many days. The maximum may have occurred on additional days; the value of recorded 1320 was determined by the limitations of the equipment.
