LOCATION - Lat 39°54'21", long 76°19'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lancaster County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050306, on left bank 400 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 324 at Martic Forge, and 3.4 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 148 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1977 to September 1981, February 1993 to September 1995, October 1989 to September 2004 (discharge measurements), September 2004 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 208.54 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from benchmark. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and Talen Energy.
REMARKS - Records for water years 2014-2016 are fair, except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water years 2017-2018 are fair, except for estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water years 2019-2020 are fair, except those for discharges greater than 2,000 cfs and for estimated discharge, which are poor. Records for water year 2021 are good, except those for discharges greater than 6,000 cfs, which are poor. Records for water years 2022-2023 are fair, except those for estimated discharge, which is poor.
