LOCATION - Lat 38°09'48", long 78°25'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Albemarle County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02080204, on left bank 400 ft southwest past the end of St Ives Road and adjacent Camelot neighborhood, 0.57 miles upstream from Route 29, 0.2 miles downstream from the mouth of Jacob’s Run, and 3.3 miles downstream from the mouth of Marsh Run.
DRAINAGE AREA - 108 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1993 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 363.17 (±0.1) ft above NAVD88.
COOPERATION - Records were provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Maximum discharge, 30,100 ft³/s, from rating curve extended above 6,730 ft³/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in April 1992 reached a stage of 19.92 ft, from floodmark, by the Virginia Department of Highways.
