LOCATION - Lat 35°46'48", long 78°39'59" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Wake County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03020201, on right bank, 0.1 mi below Pullen Drive at Pullen Park and 1.5 mi north of Raleigh.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1.17 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Discharge for the period Nov. 2, 2015, to July 21, 2020, was revised on Dec. 22, 2015, based on changes to the stage-discharge rating.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1996 to current year. Fragmentary records, June 1992 to September 1996, are unpublished and available from the files of the USGS Water Science Center, Raleigh, NC.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 308.6 ft above NAVD88 NAD83.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-nc_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 2,590 ft³/s, July 24, 1997; Maximum gage height 10.64 ft July 16, 2016. POR GH is a result of site relocation at same datum and station number, on November 2, 2015.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2007 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket raingage.
REMARKS - Precipitation data collected during freezing periods may not be accurately reflected in daily record.
