LOCATION - Lat 35°44'06", long 79°25'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Chatham County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03030003, on U.S. Highway 64, 1.6 mi east of Siler City.
DRAINAGE AREA - 68.7 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 482.9 ft above NAVD88 NAD83(2011) Geoid 18. Satellite telemetry at streamgage. 
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 14,000 ft³/s, September 17, 2018; Maximum gage height 24.90 ft, September 17, 2018, as a result of Hurricane Florence.  Minimum daily mean discharge: 0.13 ft³/s, August 21, 2017.
