- Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
- For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
- For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
- For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
- Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 35°37'37", long 79°06'58" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lee County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03030003, on right bank, 1.0 mi upstream from Lockville Dam, 1.2 mi upstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 1, 1.5 mi northwest of Moncure, 2.2 mi downstream of Rocky River, and 4.5 mi upstream from confluence with Haw River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,434 mi².

Period of Oct 7, 2017 to Feb. 28, 2018 was unlocked due to the decision not to use MMT 0461(large bias in sections) and the shift associated with it..Discharge for the period Oct. 7, 2017, to Dec. 09, 2017, was revised on March. 27, 2018, based on changes to the stage-discharge rating.
Period from Dec. 29, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2019 was unlocked and revised due to discharge qualifier not being applied properly for data that had been estimated due to lack of gage height data because of a power outage.SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1930 to current year. Records for May 1898 to December 1899 published in 21st Annual Report, Part 4, and in Bulletins 34 and 39 of North Carolina Department of Conservation and Development have been found to be unreliable and should not be used.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 184.5 ft above NAVD88 NAD83(2011) Geoid 18. Satellite telemetry at streamgage.

REMARKS - Diurnal fluctuation and some regulation at low flow caused by small power plants upstream from station. Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-nc_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
