LOCATION - Lat 33°26'40", long 79°10'27" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Georgetown County, SC, Hydrologic Unit 03040206, on left bank at Heritage Reserve Marina 0.9 mi upstream of Hagley Landing. Gage is located at end of dock walkway directly in front of Dockmaster's office.

PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1989 to current year. Prior to October 2007, published as Waccamaw River at Hagley Landing near Pawleys Island.

Data collection platform with satellite telemetry. Datum of gage is 15.68 ft below NAVD of 1988.

Prior Datum reported at 14.14 ft below NGVD of 1929. Prior to January 13, 2004 at site 0.7 mi upstream and at same datum.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 20.93 ft, Oct. 8, 2016 from CSG reading due to Hurricane Mathew; minimum gage height, 11.26 ft, July 11, 2002.

WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 33.5°C, Aug. 1, 1999; minimum, 1.0°C, Dec. 25, 26, 1989.

DISSOLVED OXYGEN: Maximum, 12.8 mg/L, first occurrence on Jan. 07, 2018; minimum, 0.2 mg/L, Sep. 14, 1996.

Prior to Oct. 1, 1991, specific conductance values less than 100 microsiemens/cm were not recordable. Prior to October 1, 2003 dissolved oxygen concentrations are not corrected for salinity.
